Guatemala International Christian Education Foundation Inc.

Vice Presidente

As co-founder of CAS it's a pleasure for me to see how the school is growing in many areas. Not only are we growing in size but we are improving in our academic skills as well. Each year more students are being accepted to colleges both within and outside of Guatemala. It has been a blessing to have received a student with zero English who
is now able to be an interpreter when we receive missionaries. We are sure the blessings are received from God because the vision of the Christian American School is to raise up our students to the Lord.

We are very pleased to invite you to be part of our community and together develop eager students who will take the name of "Guatemala" around the world and share their knowledge and passion to serve God and his followers.

Hi, here at Christian American School we are committed in an integral education, and all the scientific classes are one of the most important pillars on our school. Since 2014 I have taught math in high school at CAS and every year we improve the teaching tools and platforms to achive the best scientific level, and prepare all our students to succeed in any university of Guatemala or around the world. In 2019 a 10th grade student was awarded in the top-10 of the National Math Olympics in Guatemala, and everyday we encourage our staff and students to keep working to reach their goals and use a critical thinking not just inside of our classrooms but also in their real life situations, cause math is everywhere.

The beginning of a new school year is filled with many emotions and joys, bringing with it the opportunity for all of us to grow, learn new things, and even excel in certain activities. It is important for us as parents to accompany our children throughout this process, providing them with the necessary support and motivation to achieve success at every step. As students, it is important for us to put forth our best effort to make the most of all the books, notebooks, and materials we have, but let us not forget to seek wisdom from God to reach our goals.

As teaching and administrative staff, we have the responsibility to ensure that the entire teaching and learning process is carried out, fulfilling our short, medium, and long-term objectives. We strive every day to give our best so that together, with the help of God, we can achieve academic excellence.

My name is Rocío Gutiérrez, I was born in Guatemala and since I was little I had a single desire- to be an educator! I graduated from Pre-Primary Education in 2003 and from 2004 to date I have worked with pre-school children, especially in the area of language, pre-reading and special needs. I have worked for the last 3 years as a coordinator, supporting teachers in their educational didactics, work plans, curricular adjustments and maintaining a high educational level for students. I currently work at CAS since February 2023, always in the kindergarten area.

I have known of  CAS for many years since my children have been part of this educational community for approximately 7 years. This allows me to know the methodology, our strengths as a school and the areas in which we must work; I am sure we will achieve great progress. I believe that the best way to change the world is through Christian education and CAS offers us the opportunity to educate children and young people for a successful and bright future, but above all, it strengthens the faith and values taught at home, I know for sure that working tripartitely, student, parents and educational institution, we will achieve what we all dream of and for what we work for. Together, we will help shape good young people who believe in God, and are ready to face a future full of possibilities and opportunities that open the door to success and that they are capable of achieving each of their goals.
